I’m doing something this week I’ve never done before in my almost seven years of writing professionally. I’m pushing back a book I have on preorder, one that had a set in stone release date. It’s for my Heaven Hill Shorts Series – “Liam”.
Some of you may know him as the OG of the Heaven Hill Series. Liam Walker is the first alpha hero I ever wrote. Him and Denise Cunningham started a career I never imagined I would have. In that vein, I feel like Liam’s short shouldn’t be rushed, and if I had kept the original release date, it would have been.
It honestly was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. I’m terribly afraid of disappointing readers and I feel a huge obligation to have my readers trust me. I always want to keep my word, but this book, it just means so much in the grand scheme of the series. I want it to be right, to be good, and to be the best I can make it.
